Key Responsibilities:

Conceptualize, sketch, and develop jewellery designs, considering market trends, target audience, and brand identity. Translate conceptual ideas into detailed sketches and renderings, incorporating feedback from stakeholders to refine designs.
Utilize traditional jewellery design techniques such as sketching, rendering, and model-making to bring concepts to life. Demonstrate proficiency in manual craftsmanship, including wax carving and metalworking, to create prototypes and models of jewellery pieces.
Utilize CAD software, particularly Matrix and Rhino, to translate design concepts into digital models. Generate detailed 3D renderings and technical drawings, ensuring accuracy in measurements and specifications.
Utilize digital sketching tools like Procreate to ideate and refine design concepts. Leverage digital platforms to collaborate with team members and communicate design ideas effectively.
Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams including product development, marketing, and production to ensure alignment of design concepts with brand objectives and market requirements. Participate in design reviews, providing valuable insights and recommendations to enhance design quality and feasibility.
Stay abreast of industry trends, emerging technologies, and consumer preferences in jewellery design. Conduct market research and competitive analysis to identify opportunities for innovation and differentiation.
Ensure designs meet quality standards, manufacturing requirements, and regulatory guidelines. Conduct thorough reviews of prototypes and samples, identifying and addressing any design flaws or production challenges.
Provide guidance and mentorship to junior designers, fostering their professional growth and development. Lead by example, demonstrating excellence in design execution, creativity, and collaboration.

Qualifications:

Bachelor's degree in Jewellery Design, Fine Arts, Industrial Design, or a related field.
Proven experience as a jewellery designer, focusing on manual design techniques and CAD software.
CAD proficiency (Matrix, Rhino) and adept digital sketching skills (Procreate, Adobe Photoshop) for 3D modelling, rendering, and concept development.
Strong portfolio showcasing original jewellery designs and proficiency in manual craftsmanship.
Excellent communication, collaboration, and problemsolving skills.
Ability to thrive in a fastpaced, dynamic environment and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
Knowledge of labgrown diamonds and ethical sourcing practices is a plus.
