About the Role

Work Responsibilities:

Contributing to the overall strategy and direction of output on news and current affairs, you will lead and develop the wider journalistic team, ensuring that all content meets editorial guidelines
2. Plan and manage all daily operations
3. Hire, coach and supervise team members
4. Collaborate with the editor in chief to determine issues' content and topics
5. Coordinate editorial publications and meetings
6. Plan and approve assignments for writers and editors
7. Control schedules and enforce deadlines (for writers, photographers, designers etc.)
8. Oversee proofreading procedures and edit copy when necessary
9. Assist in evaluating finalized copy for compliance with policies, style and tone
10. Resolve issues as they arise
11. Attend events on behalf of the company or editor in chief
