Job Title:
Yoga and Swimming Teacher


Location:
Emerald International School, Nelamangala


Position type:
Full Time, Residential (mandatory)


Roles and Responsibilities:


1.


Yoga Instruction:

  • Plan and conduct yoga classes for students, focusing on flexibility, strength, balance, and mindfulness.
  • Develop ageappropriate lesson plans that cater to the diverse needs and skill levels of students.
  • Provide guidance on proper breathing techniques, meditation, and relaxation exercises.
  • Encourage selfdiscipline, positive attitudes, and a sense of community within the yoga classes.
  • Monitor and assess students' progress, providing constructive feedback and support.

Swimming Instruction:

  • Organize and lead swimming classes, ensuring the safety and wellbeing of all students.
  • Instruct students in proper swimming techniques, water safety, and basic rescue skills.
  • Develop swimming lesson plans that align with the curriculum and accommodate varying skill levels.
  • Conduct regular assessments and evaluations to track students' swimming proficiency and improvement.
  • Implement and enforce pool safety rules and protocols.

3. Collaborate with other physical education teachers and school staff to coordinate and integrate yoga and swimming activities into the overall curriculum.


4. Participate in school events, parent-teacher meetings, and extracurricular activities related to health and wellness.


Qualifications:


  • Bachelor's degree in Physical Education, Sports Science, or a related field.
  • Certified yoga instructor with experience in teaching students of various age groups.
  • Certified lifeguard and swim instructor with a strong understanding of water safety.
  • Previous experience working in an school, particularly in a residential school, is preferred.
  • Ability to create a positive and inclusive learning environment.
  • Required to stay at the residential campus.
