    Position: Senior Data Scientist, AI Data Science

    Position Summary

The AI Data Science Engineer will be instrumental in strategically utilizing data and AI to drive significant business outcomes by delivering data-driven insights within the Global Market Access and HEOR IT function.

    Key Responsibilities
    • Develop and implement AI-powered solutions to expedite access to medications for patients
    • Build ML pipelines that can swiftly adapt to new and more effective modeling methods
    • Collaborate with business and IT teams to expand and operationalize AI solutions to advance business objectives and gain a competitive edge
    • Educate a wider audience on the practical application of AI to drive value and adoption across the business
    • Act as a subject matter expert in foundational models, conveying insights, recommendations, and value to both technical and non-technical stakeholders
    • Stay informed about emerging trends in data science and machine learning, applying this knowledge to drive innovation within the organization
    Qualifications & Experience
    • Advanced knowledge across various data & analytics domains, typically acquired through a university degree and 6+ years of experience
    • Proficiency in data & analytics areas such as data provisioning, data mining, data visualization, machine learning, NLP, python/R coding, Github, cloud computing platforms like AWS, and model governance using MLFlow or equivalent
    • Ability to lead initiatives related to the implementation of new technologies, particularly LLM-based solutions
    • Skilled at packaging information and data to provide insights on complex issues, highlighting implications critical to the business unit
    • Regular interaction with internal and external stakeholders concerning operational decisions and business needs
    • Encourages the development of strong team capabilities by offering challenging opportunities for growth
    • Demonstrates a commitment to process improvement, knowledge enhancement, and team development, with a focus on understanding complex environments and executing solutions effectively
    • Keeps abreast of emerging trends in a specialized area, identifying opportunities for organizational change and aligning plans with the enterprise's strategic vision
    • Adopts a broad perspective in analyzing information, utilizes analytical thinking, and encourages others to do the same in considering long-term implications and identifying creative solutions
    Required Knowledge and Skills
    • Developing and implementing generative AI solutions
    • Proficiency in Python programming and experience with frameworks like Pytorch or Tensorflow
    • Experience in prompt engineering and vector databases
    • Working with unstructured and semi-structured data
    • Fine-tuning deep learning models
    • Familiarity with cloud environments (AWS/GCP/Azure)
    • Understanding of MLOps principles and the model development lifecycle
    • Expertise in ML deployment in GPT-4 applications
    Desirable Experience:
    • Creating RAG pipelines, chat applications, and implementing AI agents
    • Knowledge of frameworks such as LlamaIndex and LangChain
    • Proficiency in leveraging Hugging Face models
    • Familiarity with vision models
