Key Responsibilities:

Bookkeeping:
- Record and maintain accurate financial transactions in the accounting software.
- Update and maintain general ledger accounts.
- Prepare and process invoices and expense reports.
Reconciliation:
- Perform bank reconciliations to ensure accurate representation of financial transactions.
- Reconcile accounts payable and receivable statements.
Invoicing:
- Generate and issue invoices to clients in a timely manner.
- Follow up on outstanding payments and resolve discrepancies.
Financial Reporting:
- Assist in the preparation of financial statements.
- Generate reports detailing accounts payable and receivable status.
Support to Month-End and Year-End Closures:
- Assist in month-end and year-end financial closing procedures.
- Ensure all financial transactions are accurately recorded.
Documentation and Filing:
- Maintain organized and uptodate financial records and documentation.
- File and archive financial documents appropriately.
Communication:
- Collaborate with internal teams to obtain necessary financial information.
- Communicate effectively with vendors, clients, and internal stakeholders regarding financial matters.
Adherence to Policies and Procedures:
- Ensure compliance with company policies, procedures, and accounting standards.
- Stay informed about relevant accounting regulations and changes.
Assist in Audits:
- Provide support during internal and external audits.
- Prepare audit schedules and respond to auditor queries.
Special Projects:
- Contribute to special projects as assigned by the supervisor.
- Assist in process improvement initiatives within the finance department.
Qualifications and Skills:
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
- Proven experience as an Accounts Assistant or similar role.
- Knowledge of accounting principles and practices.
- Proficiency in using accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, Xero).
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
- Good organizational and time management skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
- Ability to work both independently and collaboratively in a team.
- Familiarity with relevant accounting regulations and standards.
