Be a part of an innovative team at UKG to architect solutions in a complex technical landscape in the public cloud which serves as the foundation for
our enterprise SaaS offering. This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced well rounded Cloud Infrastructure architect to be an integral part
of an enterprise-scale cloud initiative. This position will leverage your technical background in provisioning, configuring and supporting
infrastructure services on the Linux platform in public cloud. The position requires knowledge of cloud-native technologies as well as knowledge
of infrastructure related technologies like DNS, SMTP, SFTP, Security Protocols, Automation and Orchestration (CI/CD).

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
Establish and document conceptual, logical, and physical architecture designs for cloud services and service components to enable
optimized solutions that are highly available, highly scalable, and cost effective
Collaborate with technical/business teams to assess requirements
Evaluate, prototype, and select infrastructure solutions adhering to architecture standards for availability, reliability, scalability, recoverability, manageability, etc
Document existing and new designs for implementation by infrastructure build engineers; review deployments to confirm architecture alignment
Understand industry standards and best practices, and proactively research new and/or updated technologies as they become available
Review service performance and recommend strategies to achieve higher performance and availability
Collaborate with vendors and solution partners in evaluating new technologies
Architect designs/solutions keeping business and technical objectives in mind
Conduct security reviews of designs working with cloud and corporate security
Provide technical guidance to implementation and operations teams
Present designs to cross-functional stakeholders including architects and senior leadership
Be a Voice of Customer to share insights and best practices, connect with Engineering team to remove key blockers
Maintain and advance deep technical skills and knowledge, keeping up to date with market trends and competitive insights, and share within the technical community
Advocate and educate on cloud platform solutions with internal customers across sales and professional services organizations


Qualifications:

Must have at least 8-10 years of hands-on experience building and supporting infrastructure services
Must have at least 3 years of experience architecting large scale infrastructure services and solutions
Experience working with public cloud and native cloud technologies ñ GCP Preferred
Experience with multiple of the following Cloud Data Infrastructure & technologies: Cloud SQL, Postgres/MySQL, Distributed file services, Cloud Storage Services, MongoDB, Big Data, Analytics and AI/ML
Experience with Kubernetes, GKE, container orchestration technologies, Terraform, Dev Ops processes and automation tools
Experience with data replication, back-up & recovery architecture
Proven track record in providing designs for highly available, large-scale environments
Experience with Linux operating systems
Experience with multiple of the following technologies: DNS, SMTP, sFTP, SFS in the Cloud, Security Protocols, Containers, Automation and Orchestration (CI/CD)
Experience designing to achieve requirements for SOC1/2 compliance
Experience designing to achieve requirements for data protection, compliance, security and privacy (SOC1/2, ISO27001, GDPR, etc.)
Demonstrated success in working with vendors and solutions architects
Demonstrated success in spearheading critical technical solutions involving multiple teams/resources
Experience working with or migrating to cloud based virtual environments
Experience defining/designing technical solutions to ensure business continuity (DR/Backup)
Results oriented, innovative, proactive with an ability to manage multiple priorities
Ability to communicate effectively emphasizing written and oral presentation skills
Strong interpersonal and communication skills and comfortable in global working environment
