Key Account Executive - Logistics Industry


Job Overview:


As a Key Account Executive in the logistics industry, your primary responsibility will be to maintain and nurture relationships with key clients.

You will serve as the main point of contact for these clients, ensuring their needs are met efficiently and effectively.

Your role will involve understanding client requirements, coordinating with various internal departments to fulfill those requirements, and providing exceptional customer service to ensure client satisfaction and retention.


Key Responsibilities:

Client Relationship Management:


  • Develop and maintain strong, longterm relationships with key clients in the logistics industry.
  • Act as the primary point of contact for all communication and inquiries from assigned clients.
  • Regularly engage with clients to understand their needs, concerns, and feedback.

Account Management:


  • Understand the specific needs and requirements of each client account.
  • Develop and implement strategies to meet client objectives and ensure satisfaction.
  • Coordinate with internal departments such as operations, transportation, and customer service to ensure timely and accurate delivery of services.

Business Development:


  • Identify opportunities for upselling or crossselling additional services to existing clients.
  • Collaborate with the sales team to identify and pursue new business opportunities within assigned accounts.
  • Prepare and present proposals, contracts, and pricing agreements to clients as needed.

Problem Solving:


  • Address any issues or concerns raised by clients in a timely and effective manner.
  • Work closely with internal teams to resolve operational challenges and ensure smooth service delivery.
  • Proactively anticipate potential issues and take preventive measures to minimize disruptions to client operations.

Reporting and Analysis:


  • Maintain accurate records of client interactions, transactions, and communications.
  • Prepare regular reports detailing key account metrics, performance, and trends.
  • Analyze data to identify areas for improvement and implement strategies to enhance client satisfaction and retention.

Qualifications:


  • Bachelor's degree in business administration, logistics, supply chain management, or a related field.
  • Proven experience in account management, preferably in the logistics or transportation industry.
  • Strong understanding of logistics operations, including freight forwarding, warehousing, and transportation management.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build rapport and trust with clients.
  • Strong problemsolving and negotiation abilities.
  • Proficiency in CRM software and Microsoft Office suite.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fastpaced environment.

Preferred Skills:


  • Experience with logistics software and systems such as TMS (Transportation Management System) or WMS (Warehouse Management System).
  • Knowledge of industry regulations and compliance standards.
  • Demonstrated ability to meet and exceed sales targets and KPIs.

Salary:
₹15, ₹30,669.40 per month
