- Merging source code across branches in a sophisticated branching setup.
- Creating, enhancing, and maintaining infrastructure for a distributed development team, covering areas such as source code repository, build tools, integration processes, release mechanisms, continuous integration setup, packaging solutions, and deployment procedures.
- Establishing and refining processes and tools to ensure the integrity of the codebase, which involves defining check-in rules and managing branch/merge operations.
- Implementing processes for incorporating and managing all third-party and open-source code.
- Researching and suggesting optimal strategies for maintaining code quality, which includes defining code metrics, setting up code review workflows, measuring code coverage, and utilizing static and dynamic analysis tools.
- Championing operational excellence practices and fostering a culture of continuous improvement within the organization.
- Guiding the team's technical and business strategies by offering valuable insights into priorities and approaches, significantly contributing to team planning.
- Minimum of 2 years of professional software development experience outside of internships
- At least 1 year of experience in designing or architecting both new and existing systems, demonstrating knowledge of design patterns, reliability, and scaling
- Over 7 years of hands-on experience in networking, storage systems, operating systems, and administration
- Understanding of core systems engineering concepts such as networking, storage, and operating systems
- Familiarity with programming languages like C++, C#, Java, Python, Golang, PowerShell, or Ruby
- Proficiency in PowerShell (preferred), Python, Ruby, or Java
- Experience working in an Agile environment following Scrum practices
