Accountabilities:

  • Execute activity via a mix of marketing channels on a range of events in support of EMEA marketing manager, based in London.
  • Implement the marketing strategy for a variety of global events, including executing the event marketing plan, working to a set budget and using a range of marketing channels to achieve set KPIs (i.e. event delegate revenue target, highlevel guest acquisition)
  • Establish relationships with marketing partners including business associations, chambers of commerce, academic institutes
  • Assist Marketing Manager to manage relationship with PR agencies, broadcast and media partners as required
  • Run data reports on CRM systems. Conduct research and undertake data mining to fill gaps following brief from Marketing Manager, qualifying the leads where possible
  • Support the Marketing Manager on running event social media / PPC activity to generate leads
  • Provide assistance with direct marketing tasks as and when required, track inbound queries / content downloads
  • Create and implement an event lead generation plan to assist with converting inbound contacts to paid ticket sales and highlevel guest attendance
  • Help undertake competitive analysis across industries

Experience, skills and professional attributes:

  • Proven relevant marketing experience (e.g. direct and/or events marketing, with preference given to those with conference marketing experience and industry events)
  • A strong understanding of customer acquisition, retention, online marketing and new media channels
  • Experience using marketing and analytics systems such as Google Analytics, Eloqua, Salesforce, Cvent (or equivalents) and backend website editing tools like Wordpress
  • Excellent written English and proofreading skills
  • Commitment to standards of excellence with attention to detail
  • Highly selfmotivated, intuitive, energetic and persistent
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks, prioritise accordingly and work to tight deadlines
  • A team player who is interested in current affairs
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Office, basic HTML, CSS and SQL, SEO auditing awareness
