Summary:


As a Chef de Partie, you will be responsible for overseeing a specific section in the kitchen and ensuring that all dishes are prepared to the highest standards.

You will work closely with the Head Chef and Sous Chef to maintain quality, consistency, and efficiency in food preparation and service.


Key Responsibilities:

⦁ Food Preparation:
Prepare and cook food items in your designated section according to established recipes, portion control, and quality standards. Follow all food safety and sanitation guidelines to ensure safe and hygienic food handling practices.

⦁ Menu Development:

Collaborate with the Head Chef and Sous Chef in developing and updating menus for your section, including creating new dishes and specials, and incorporating seasonal ingredients.

⦁ Supervision:

Supervise and train junior kitchen staff, including Commis Chefs and Apprentices, in proper food preparation techniques, safety procedures, and kitchen hygiene.

Provide guidance and support to ensure smooth operation of your section during service.

⦁ Quality Control:

Monitor the quality of food being produced in your section, and ensure that it meets the established standards of taste, presentation, and portion size.

Conduct regular inspections of your section to maintain cleanliness and organization.

⦁ Inventory Management:

Assist in managing food inventory for your section, including requisitioning and receiving supplies, checking stock levels, and maintaining proper storage and rotation of ingredients.

Report any discrepancies or issues to the Sous Chef or Head Chef.

⦁ Station Setup:

Set up and organize your section before and after service, including preparing mise en place, checking equipment and utensils for proper functioning, and maintaining a clean and organized work area.

⦁ Collaboration:

Work closely with other chefs and kitchen staff in a collaborative manner, assisting in their sections when needed and maintaining open communication to ensure smooth coordination of food preparation and service.

⦁ Health and Safety:

Follow all health and safety regulations and guidelines, including proper handling of kitchen equipment, safe food handling practices, and maintaining a clean and safe working environment.


Qualifications:

⦁ Proven experience as a Chef de Partie or in a similar role, demonstrating a strong knowledge of culinary techniques, food safety, and sanitation.

⦁ Culinary diploma or relevant certification from a recognized culinary institution.

⦁ Excellent cooking skills with a passion for food and creativity in menu development.

⦁ Strong leadership skills with the ability to supervise and train junior kitchen staff.

⦁ Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and handle pressure during busy service periods.

⦁ Strong organizational and time management skills to ensure efficient food preparation and service.

⦁ Knowledge of inventory management and food cost control principles.

⦁ Excellent communication skills and ability to work well in a team.

⦁ Flexibility to work shifts, weekends, and holidays as required.


Salary:
₹25, ₹35,000.00 per month
