Description
Responsibilities:
- Review requirements, specifications and technical design documents to provide timely and meaningful feedback
- Help to build a culture of quality across the entire product team shifting quality to the left, earlier in the process
- Create detailed, comprehensive and wellstructured test plans and test cases
- Estimate, prioritize, plan and coordinate testing activities
- Design and develop automated solutions that help guarantee the quality of the software across different devices and locales
- Work on software testing challenges involving data integrity, API, cross browser, mobile device, Micro service and large scale rest/web services
- Work closely with developers to build test automation, test infrastructure and perform code analysis/review to enable development quality
- Identify, record, document thoroughly and track bugs
- Perform thorough regression testing when bugs are resolved
- Liaise with internal teams (e.g. pod leads, product owners) to identify system requirements
- Monitor debugging process results
- Investigate the causes of nonconforming software and train users to implement solutions
- Track quality assurance metrics, like defect densities and open defect counts
- Stay uptodate with new testing tools and test strategies
- Flex / Adapt / Pivot testing strategy as project needs change
Qualifications
Basic Qualifications
- 3+ years manual testing
- 1+ years experience in Automated Testing
- Meticulous
- Strong analytical skills
- Knowledge and experience with MEAN stack development
- Experience with test frameworks and automation tools such as Protractor, Selenium, Cucumber and Saucelabs.
- Familiarity working in an Agile DevOps environment
- QA Methodologies and software life cycle
- Demonstrated experience in test framework design and development
- Experience instrumenting CI/CD pipelines
- Experience with Jenkins on automation job setup
- Awareness of secure software development principals
- Selfstarter with excellent organizational and time management skills
- Interest in mentoring team members who are transitioning to use MEAN stack
- Ability to work at both detailed and abstract levels
- Unix and/or Linux; Unix tools and basic Unix scripting languages
- Cloud Native knowledge such as AWS is a bonus.
