About us:
Lighthouse Communities Foundation works in the area of skilling and livelihoods for underserved youth.

This is a pioneering program with a strong PPP model, an agency-led approach to livelihoods and a vision of socio-economic transformation.

The Lighthouses are run through a public-private partnership that empowers the Government, Corporates, NGOs and Citizens to work together towards changing lives.

The provision of location and capital expenditure for the Lighthouse centres is taken care of by the Government. Corporates contribute through CSR funds to provide operational expenses. NGOs come on board to provide various skilling courses to the youth.

With penetration in more than 400 of the 500 odd slum communities of Pune, the program has now expanded to other cities viz.

PCMC, Dombivali, Sambhaji Nagar,Ambivali and also States viz. Delhi, Odisha,Mumbai and Hyderabad.

About the Program:
Digital Empowerment program is a program working with the objective that 1 person in every low-income household (14+ years) can leverage the power of the internet

  • 100% Digital Saksham (National Digital Literacy Mission). 2,00,000 Citizens across 500 slums & lowincome communities Digitally Empowered by 2030.
The program content focuses on preparing learners to be

  • Digital Citizens: Access to egovernance, Responsible digital engagement
  • Digital Learners: Ability to selflearn, Improve workplace competencies
  • Digital Customers: Confidence in online transactions, Availing online services
  • Digital Earners: Confidence to run a business, identify & acquire customers

About the role:
We are looking for enthusiastic Digital Empowerment Facilitators to promote computer & digital literacy among youth.


Expectations/Deliverables:

  • Preparation of sessions as per training guidelines and material applicable for the program.
  • Ensuring student attendance and participation in the sessions.
  • Maintaining progress report of student, handling internal MIS system (encore) and involving daytoday reporting.
  • Helping with students' mobilization in nearby communities & supporting centers to maintain infrastructure.
  • Achieve the monthly targets with efficiency and quality.
  • Maintaining a pool of alumni and conducting regular alumni events and assessments.

Preferred Skill Sets, Years of Experience, Professional Background:

  • Any Graduate preferably Bachelor's degree in computer science, computer engineering, or related discipline.
  • Prior experience as a computer teacher or IT trainer or in a similar field is preferred.
  • Hands on knowledge of Google Apps,MSsuite, egovernance.
  • Selfdriven, motivated ,excellent time management and multitasking skills
  • Strong people management and orientation towards relationship building
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills in Marathi and English
  • Should have digital proficiency and is comfortable and up to date with changes in technology.
  • Should understand the importance of technology and believe in the cause to reduce digital divide in the society.

Salary:
₹15, ₹20,000.00 per month
