Art/Craft Teacher Job Description Functions:

Under the direction of the Recreation Supervisor, the Art/Craft instructor is responsible for the supervision and coordination of patrons in the classes offered and to effectively organize activities for individuals of all ages and provide interesting arts/crafts projects to help strengthen their appreciation of art.

Qualifications:

Knowledge, skill and mental development equivalent to the completion of high school.
Minimum of a high school diploma or equivalent knowledge, skill or development in the arts and crafts department.
A minimum of one year of supervisory experience of arts/crafts classes.
Ability to be flexible and dependable
Must have experience working with children in a classroom setting.
Must show a high interest and ability in being creative with art/craft activities and making of crafts and ability to communicate that to children on their level.
Ability to work with staff in a respectful, professional manner.
