Overview:
As a Field Maintenance Technician, you will be responsible for ensuring the proper functioning and maintenance of all vehicles and equipment utilized in field operations.
This role requires meticulous attention to detail, proactive problem-solving skills, and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
You will collaborate closely with various teams including Field Operations, Fleet Management, and Administrative staff to ensure seamless operations.Responsibilities:
Fleet Coordination:
- Manage the fleet of vehicles assigned for field operations.
- Coordinate the scheduling and deployment of vehicles according to operational requirements.
- Ensure vehicles are properly maintained, serviced, and comply with safety regulations.
Vehicle Insurance Follow-up:
- Maintain records of vehicle insurance policies.
- Coordinate with insurance providers for timely renewal and processing of claims.
RTO Compliance:
- Ensure compliance with Regional Transport Office (RTO) regulations.
- Coordinate vehicle registration and licensing procedures as required.
Police Case Management:
- Handle documentation and communication related to police cases involving company vehicles.
- Liaise with law enforcement agencies for resolution and followup.
Tanker and Vehicle Maintenance:
- Conduct regular inspections and preventive maintenance checks on tankers and vehicles.
- Coordinate repairs and servicing with external vendors as necessary.
- Maintain inventory of spare parts and consumables.
Driver Maintenance:
- Monitor the performance and conduct of drivers.
- Provide training and support to drivers on safety protocols and vehicle operation.
Field Visits:
- Conduct field visits to assess vehicle conditions and address maintenance issues.
- Provide onsite support and guidance to field staff as needed.
Miscellaneous:
- Assist in other maintenance tasks and duties as assigned by the Field Maintenance Manager.
- Maintain accurate records and documentation related to vehicle maintenance activities.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent; additional technical certification or training in automotive mechanics preferred.
- Proven experience in vehicle maintenance and repair, preferably in a field maintenance or fleet management role.
- Strong knowledge of automotive systems, troubleshooting techniques, and maintenance procedures.
- Familiarity with relevant regulations and compliance standards (e.g., RTO regulations, insurance requirements).
- Excellent organizational and time management skills.
- Effective communication and interpersonal abilities.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment.
- Valid driver's license with a clean driving record.
