The QA Performance Engineer plays a critical role in supporting the delivery of solutions. You will have the opportunity to influence and contribute to the program's quality strategy and direction, evaluating and selecting new technologies and tools, and sharing quality assurance best practices with the wider team. You will be a performance quality champion. Measure, report and take ownership of QA performance functions and contribute to the team's success in delivering quality product.

Requirements:

• 5+ years of hands-on experience in Quality Assurance and Test Automation
• Proficiency in Object Oriented Programming language (JavaScript or Java)
• Experience with performance testing tools like JMeter or K6 for evaluating the performance of mobile apps (iOS and Android) interacting with back-end APIs
• Experience with Appium and/or WebDriver for mobile app testing
• Practical experience testing Webservices/RESTful APIs with tools like RESTAssured or Postman, and testing Microservices with tools like PACT (contract testing)
• Prior experience with CI/CD tools such as GitLabCI , Jenkins, Bitrise
• Proficiency in version control with GIT and understanding of branching and merging concepts
• Practical experience with public Cloud infrastructures like AWS, Azure, Docker, Kubernetes, and Cloud testing platforms like BrowserStack, AWS Device Farm, Saucelab
• Familiarity with performance monitoring tools such as Grafana, AppDynamics, Dynatrace
• Experience in non-functional testing (security, performance, accessibility)
• Expertise in high-volume performance testing in complex global environments
• Ability to select and recommend test tools based on environment assessments
• Proficiency in defining comprehensive performance test strategies and plans, including scope, risks, and required resources
• Competency in analyzing and interpreting performance test results and metrics
• Experience in creating performance automation suites from scratch
• **Strong communication skills for accurate and timely reporting
• Capability to train and lead a small team of performance QA engineers
• Aptitude for identifying and addressing risks and issues promptly
• Ability to review and provide feedback on complex architecture, solution, and integration documentation

Responsibilities:

• Take full ownership of performance testing for mobile applications.
• Review current tooling selection and approach and make recommendations regarding the way forward.
• Oversee completion of in-flight targeted performance test execution, including progress and completion reports metrics/dashboards and defect management.
• Define performance test strategy for both solution and migration, including tooling, environment, and resource requirements.
• Plan performance testing for both solution and migration.
• Manage execution of performance testing for both solution and migration, including progress and completion reports, metrics/dashboards and defect management.
• Build the performance test team to support the defined strategy.
