At STRI we are hiring for aprestigious NGO based in Chennai. This is a Chennai basedopportunity.

TheNGOs SkillEd programme improves employability of youth byupskilling that widens their career opportunities and secures asustainable livelihood. SkillEd is focused on IT and softskillstraining.

Anideal candidate for this position should have a strong backgroundin skilling preferably tech skilling and programmemanagement.

TheAssociate Director will be responsible for efficient and effectiverunning of the programme and for driving the overall strategicdirection of the program. They will have to ensure 10x more youthin sustainable careers over the next 3years.

PrimaryResponsibilitiesinclude:

• Strategizethe roadmap for the team for the next 5 years and setting up theobjectives and key results accordingly for eachyear.
  
• Identifythe skills that are currently in demand in the industry and ensurewe build the curriculum that provides exposure and handson trainingfor theyouth.
  
• Overseethe efficient and effective daytoday operations including effectivedelivery of the sessions assessments impact evaluation volunteermobilization communication budgeting &finance.
  
• Buildstructures systems to support the execution of the programmes witha focus on continuous learning improvement and rapidgrowth.
  
• Collaboratewith Academic Institutions NGOs corporatesfunders government & thecommunity toincrease the reach and impact of theprogrammes
  
• Reporton the timely implementation of the goals for the project to theexecutive management committee and theboard.
  

OtherResponsibilitiesinclude:

• Advocatethe importance of skilling programs for underprivileged youth inthe ruralcommunity.
  
• CreateLearning and Development programs for the trainers to ensure theyare updated and also building inhouse capacity of taking up newindustryadvancements.
  
• Collaboratewith NGOs teams and partner NGOs who work with similarbeneficiaries and extend support for upskillingthem
  
• Collaboratewith the NGO s civic and corporate volunteering teams to maximizevolunteerengagement.
  

PreferredEducation Qualification /Experience:

• Minimum10years of experiencein the social sector and at least 2 3years in the skilling sector ispreferable.
  
• Priorexperience in projectmanagement and leadingteams ismandatory.
  
• AnyGraduate.
