Job Description Summary:

As a Scrum Master, you will guide the Engineering teams through the Scrum Framework, help removing impediments that prevent teams from reaching their goals, and coach them to become self-organizing and cross-functional.


Roles and Responsibilities:


  • Facilitate Scrum events to help making them effective in achieving the intended outcomes.
  • Identify and remove obstacles that prevent the team(s) from achieving their goals and help them developing strategies to overcome challenges.
  • Collaborate with the Product Owner to ensure that the product backlog is properly maintained, prioritized, and refined to meet the team's goals.
  • Facilitate communication and collaboration within the team and with stakeholders, ensuring that everyone is aligned on the team's goals and progress.
  • Promote and support the Scrum values of commitment, focus, openness, respect, and courage, and help the team embodying these values in their work.
  • Help the team continuously improving its processes and practices, through inspection and adaptation, and by fostering a culture of experimentation and learning.

Required Qualifications

  • This role requires experience in the Services & Digital Project Management.
  • Knowledge level is comparable to a master's degree from an accredited university or college (or a high school diploma with relevant experience).

Desired Characteristics

  • Strong understanding and experience with Agile methodologies and Scrum framework (Scrum Master Certification is required).
  • Excellent leadership and facilitation skills, able to lead and guide the team through Scrum ceremonies and processes.
  • Ability to coach and mentor team members, helping them to improve their skills and abilities.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, able to effectively communicate with team members, stakeholders, and other departments.
  • Strong analytical and critical thinking skills, able to identify and solve problems and make sound decisions.
  • Strong understanding of software development and project management, able to manage and track progress and identify and manage risks.
  • Strong ability to navigate through ambiguity and change.
  • Familiar with ADMS, AEMS, MMS or GIS software products (GE software is a plus).
  • Knowledge of frameworks to scale Agile Practices would be plus.
