Job Description:


We are currently seeking a highly skilled and experienced Assistant General Manager (AGM) of Purchase & Raw Material Procurement to join our team in Noida.

In this role, you will be responsible for managing the procurement activities related to friction material and chemical raw materials for our manufacturing operations.

Your expertise in strategic sourcing, supplier management, and negotiation will be crucial in ensuring the availability of high-quality materials while optimizing costs and maintaining inventory levels.


Responsibilities:


Develop and implement procurement strategies and plans for friction material and chemical raw materials in line with the company's overall objectives and cost targets.


Identify and evaluate potential suppliers for friction material and chemical raw materials, conduct supplier audits, and negotiate favorable terms and conditions to establish strategic partnerships.


Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including production, engineering, quality assurance, and logistics, to understand raw material requirements, forecast demand, and ensure timely availability of materials.


Conduct market research and stay updated on industry trends, pricing fluctuations, and emerging suppliers to identify opportunities for cost savings and process improvements.


Implement and manage robust supplier performance evaluation systems, including key performance indicators (KPIs), to monitor supplier quality, delivery, and reliability.


Drive continuous improvement initiatives in the procurement process, such as implementing lean principles, optimizing inventory levels, and reducing lead times.

Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements, quality standards, and ethical sourcing practices in all procurement activities.

Negotiate contracts, terms, and pricing agreements with suppliers, ensuring favorable terms and competitive pricing while maintaining high-quality standards.

Build and maintain strong relationships with suppliers, resolving any issues or disputes promptly and effectively.


Monitor and analyze procurement metrics, including spend analysis, cost savings, supplier performance, and inventory levels, and provide regular reports to management.


Requirements:

Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or a related field. A master's degree would be advantageous.

Proven experience in procurement and raw material sourcing, preferably in the friction material or chemical industry.

Strong knowledge of friction material and chemical raw materials, including their specifications, quality requirements, and industry standards.

Demonstrated expertise in strategic sourcing, supplier management, contract negotiation, and cost optimization.

Familiarity with regulatory and compliance requirements related to raw material procurement.

Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to analyze complex data and make informed decisions.

Strong negotiation and communication skills, with the ability to build and maintain effective relationships with suppliers and internal stakeholders.

Proficiency in using procurement software and systems for purchase order management, inventory control, and supplier performance tracking.

Proven track record of achieving cost savings and process improvements through strategic procurement initiatives.

Ability to work independently, manage multiple priorities, and meet deadlines in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.

Strong leadership and team management skills, with the ability to mentor and develop a procurement team.
