    Overview

    This role sits within GBS and business partnering the Pepsi Lipton Joint Venture between PepsiCo and Unilever. As a company in its own right, the joint venture has its own board of directors. Whilst in constant contact with its parent companies, it runs as a separate entity on a day to day basis. All the employees come from and maintain their contract with one of the 2 parent companies, and in this role you are given a unique perspective as you gain access to both.

    As a global company the variation in countries, bottlers and manufacturing sites makes this a very exciting place to work. We have 5 regional organisations operating across North America, Europe, Latin America, Africa Middle East, Asia and Greater China (AMEA) and we are constantly breaking new ground with launches into white markets.

    Working in the joint venture is one of the few opportunities to work in a small, entrepreneurial company within a larger framework of Unilever and PepsiCo.

    RTD tea is a key growth driver in LRB and it's forecasted to grow faster than many other beverage categories. The category is fast-evolving and many new players have recently been tapping into the potential of ice tea as a healthier beverage vs soft drinks. In parallel, small brands have been capturing emerging trends (premium, functional benefits, experimental etc) and elevated expectations around the category.

    The Analytics Insights Analyst is part of Insights Delivery for Pepsi Lipton NASEA, AMESA, LATAM Business. The purpose of this team is to deliver business impact through data and industry leading analytics, all in close collaboration with the PLI Insights team and the BU Marketing/commercial departments in NASEA, AMESA, LATAM regions.

    Responsibilities

    Own and maintain existing reporting landscape (IRI/Nielsen IQ/Discover)

  • Manage and deliver all Insights scorecard , excel dashboards, power point reports, Power BI dashboards including updating data and pulling out key insights, conduct periodic data quality checks
  • Assess automation and harmonization potential, automate recurring reports in excel, integrate excel with Discover/IRI/Nielsen IQ. Transform the existing reporting into PowerBI dashboards, if needed; develop new reports if needed to identify opportunities for improvement

    • Act as a data and analytics GO TO expert (IRI/Nielsen IQ/Discover)

  • Support all Ad Hoc data requests for Business Deep Dives, Firedrills, etc. for the Insights Team with expertise in both Discover and IRI. Analyze datasets using Advanced Excel and pivots and present recommendations in Power Point
  • Reporting insights using power point for consumption by Senior Stakeholders
  • Main data support for year end situational analysis – pull together data for templated pages as well as any additional analyses

    • Unlock added value from internal data sets by becoming the go – to expert on IRI/Nielsen IQ/Discover, and be able to deep dive into data from all these, and additional data sources as needed

    Qualifications
  • Good experience and expertise across multiple standard continuous data sources such as IRI/Nielsen IQ/Discover/Kantar Consumer Panel. Conduct periodic data quality checks
  • Understanding of Performance KPI's from IRI/Nielsen IQ/Discover/Kantar Consumer Panel and how to operate with databases, technicaly equipped with advanced Excel knowledge and PPT visualisation skills
  • Strong analytical skills , able to synthesise and integrate learning from multiple sources and see the connections in data, trends, events etc to generate insights
  • Good communication and presentation skills to distil complex data and information into actionable insights
  • Good knowledge of Consumer Insights principles, especially equity tracking, innovation testing and Demand Spaces deployment (nice to have)
  • Ability to work independently without day to day manager engagement
  • Strong influencing skills to set the business agenda with senior stakeholders - demonstrates track record in establishing analytical insights as a driver of growth and business success
  • Ability to combine data, judgement and experience to make effective decisions in complex situations and when there is a lot of uncertainty or ambiguity
  • Actively seeks and understands the input of others to gain broad alignment to ideas and effectively manages process to move teams towards a common goal
  • Strong drive for results, a proven self-starter who thrives on a broad remit and the opportunity to make a real impact
  • Prior experience in Advanced Analytics/ Modelling is good to have.
