About Aseema:

Aseema is a Mumbai-based NGO that is committed to equipping children from marginalized communities with high quality, value-based education, enabling the development of their limitless potential.

We run three municipal schools in Mumbai in partnership with the Municipal Corporation of Greater Mumbai (MCGM), and one school for tribal children in Igatpuri.

Aseema reaches out to 9000 children living in vulnerable circumstances in urban slums and tribal communities.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:

To work under the guidance and supervision of Director - School operations and Services.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

School Operations & Services responsibilities:

To provide complete support and assistance to the Acting Director of School Operations & Services in maintaining a positive, safe and secure environment at the school.
To work in collaboration with the School Administrator with regard to the requirements of education material, supplies, furniture, fixtures, repairs, renovations etc.
To liaise closely with the CWC Head in ensuring community work objectives are met. This includes student enrolment, attendance and punctuality; meal programme; engagement with parents etc.
To coordinate with the Counselling Head to ensure the emotional needs of students are met.
To work closely with the MCGM In-charge for all permissions related to the MCGM.
To provide support in the allocation of volunteers in consultation with the Education Directors.
To assist the Acting Director - School Operations in preparing all reports that are required.
To conduct appraisals for staff and ensure it is completed on time.
To ensure all efforts are made to retain quality staff by providing continuous support, guidance, training, addressing grievances to their satisfaction and internal growth opportunities.

Teaching responsibilities:

Teaching responsibilities will be assigned by the Education Director of the section. This will be given after considering the above key responsibilities. For teaching responsibilities, reporting will be to the Education Incharge.
