Position Overview:

An Online Spoken English Trainer plays a pivotal role in helping individuals improve their English language speaking and communication skills through online teaching platforms.

This position involves guiding and supporting learners in developing their spoken English proficiency by designing and delivering engaging, interactive, and personalized lessons.

Key Responsibilities:

Online Instruction:

• Conduct oneonone or group online sessions to teach spoken English to learners of various proficiency levels.
• Utilize video conferencing tools, whiteboards, and other digital resources to deliver effective lessons.

Curriculum Development:

• Create and adapt English language learning materials, lesson plans, and exercises that cater to the specific needs and goals of each learner.
• Develop innovative teaching methods and resources to make the learning process engaging and enjoyable.

Assessment and Feedback:

• Evaluate learners' language skills and progress through regular assessments and assignments.
• Provide constructive feedback and set realistic goals to help learners improve their spoken English abilities.

Personalization:

• Tailor teaching methods and materials to the individual needs, interests, and goals of each learner.
• Adapt teaching techniques to address challenges and accelerate learning.

Language and Cultural Competency:

• Encourage cultural sensitivity and an understanding of nuances in English communication.
• Foster cultural awareness and help learners communicate effectively in a global context.

Motivation and Encouragement:

• Create a positive and supportive learning environment.

Progress Reporting:

• Maintain records of learner progress, attendance, and performance.
• Communicate regularly with learners and their guardians (if applicable) to provide updates on progress.

Technology Proficiency:

• Stay uptodate with the latest online teaching tools and platforms.
• Ensure smooth and efficient use of technology for teaching purposes.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in English, Education, Linguistics, or a related field (preferred).
• TEFL/TESOL certification is an advantage.
• Proficiency in spoken and written English.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Previous teaching or tutoring experience is preferred.
• Strong knowledge of online teaching tools and platforms.
• Patience and the ability to inspire and engage learners.
• Cultural awareness and sensitivity.
