Job Overview

Senior: 7 to 10 years of experience, Full-Time role based in Chennai, Tamil Nadu, India.

Qualifications and Skills

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field
• Proven experience of 7 to 10 years in designing SPMs for the automation industry
• Proficiency in AutoCAD, SolidWorks, and other relevant software
• Strong knowledge of 3D modeling and detailing
• Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills
• Ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams
• Good communication and interpersonal skills
• Knowledge of industry standards and regulations

Roles and Responsibilities

• Design and develop Special Purpose Machines (SPM) for industrial automation projects
• Create detailed drawings, layouts, and models using software such as AutoCAD, SolidWorks, etc.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams including engineers, technicians, and project managers to ensure successful project delivery
• Perform cost analysis, feasibility studies, and technical evaluations for SPM designs
• Troubleshoot and rectify any design issues or manufacturing challenges
• Ensure compliance with industry standards, regulations, and safety guidelines
• Conduct research and stay updated with the latest trends and advancements in the automation industry
