Job Summary:

Key Responsibilities:

Teach undergraduate and/or graduate courses in nursing, with a focus on areas of expertise and departmental needs.
Develop and implement innovative and effective teaching strategies that engage students and promote active learning.
Provide academic advising and mentorship to students, including advising on course selection, career pathways, and research opportunities.
Contribute to curriculum development and revision, ensuring alignment with accreditation standards, industry trends, and best practices in nursing education.
Engage in scholarly activities, including research, publication, and presentations at professional conferences.
Participate in departmental meetings, committees, and other service activities to support the functioning and advancement of the department and institution.
Collaborate with colleagues within the department, across disciplines, and with external partners to enhance interdisciplinary education and research initiatives.
Maintain current knowledge of developments in the field of nursing, including changes in clinical practice, education, and technology.
Demonstrate a commitment to diversity, equity, and inclusion in teaching, scholarship, and service activities.
Adhere to institutional policies and procedures, including those related to academic integrity, student conduct, and faculty responsibilities.

Qualifications:

Assistant Professor
3 yrs After M.Sc Nursing (Medical Surgical, Pediatrics, Psychiatry, Community, OBG)
Previous teaching experience in nursing education at the undergraduate and/or graduate level preferred.
Evidence of scholarly productivity, including publications in peerreviewed journals and presentations at professional conferences.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with students, colleagues, and external stakeholders.
Commitment to excellence in teaching, with a studentcentered approach to education.
Ability to work collaboratively in a diverse academic community, fostering an inclusive and supportive learning environment.
Demonstrated commitment to professional development and continuous learning.
Familiarity with accreditation standards for nursing education (e.g., CCNE, ACEN) preferred.
Experience with online and/or hybrid teaching modalities and instructional technologies preferred.
