Job Summary:
Key Responsibilities:
- Teach undergraduate and/or graduate courses in nursing, with a focus on areas of expertise and departmental needs.
- Develop and implement innovative and effective teaching strategies that engage students and promote active learning.
- Provide academic advising and mentorship to students, including advising on course selection, career pathways, and research opportunities.
- Contribute to curriculum development and revision, ensuring alignment with accreditation standards, industry trends, and best practices in nursing education.
- Engage in scholarly activities, including research, publication, and presentations at professional conferences.
- Participate in departmental meetings, committees, and other service activities to support the functioning and advancement of the department and institution.
- Collaborate with colleagues within the department, across disciplines, and with external partners to enhance interdisciplinary education and research initiatives.
- Maintain current knowledge of developments in the field of nursing, including changes in clinical practice, education, and technology.
- Demonstrate a commitment to diversity, equity, and inclusion in teaching, scholarship, and service activities.
- Adhere to institutional policies and procedures, including those related to academic integrity, student conduct, and faculty responsibilities.
Qualifications:
- Assistant Professor
- 3 yrs After M.Sc Nursing (Medical Surgical, Pediatrics, Psychiatry, Community, OBG)
- Previous teaching experience in nursing education at the undergraduate and/or graduate level preferred.
- Evidence of scholarly productivity, including publications in peerreviewed journals and presentations at professional conferences.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with students, colleagues, and external stakeholders.
- Commitment to excellence in teaching, with a studentcentered approach to education.
- Ability to work collaboratively in a diverse academic community, fostering an inclusive and supportive learning environment.
- Demonstrated commitment to professional development and continuous learning.
- Familiarity with accreditation standards for nursing education (e.g., CCNE, ACEN) preferred.
- Experience with online and/or hybrid teaching modalities and instructional technologies preferred.
