Focus of the Role


The Principal Enterprise Architect, reporting to the Chief Architect, proactively guides enterprise leaders and teams through transformation initiatives across the entire Telstra Group.

This crucial position supports the formulation of business strategy, outcomes, and capabilities, contributing to targeted outcomes such as revenue growth, cost optimization, risk mitigation, and improved sustainability.

With comprehensive oversight of technologies including Cloud, Data, IT, AI, and Network, the Principal Enterprise Architect plays a critical role in managing diverse technological domains within Telstra, highlighting the essential nature of the position.

We are looking for 2 Principal Solutions Architects that can be based in Bangalore, Hyderabad, or Pune.

What You'll Do


Global Networks & Technology - Chief Architect CoE leads Telstra's technical architecture team, ensuring Telstra's technology solutions are aligned with its business strategy.


  • Develop technologyenabled business and operating models, offering viable solution options, and ensuring transparency into execution issues.
  • Assume a 'handson' leadership role in architecture, actively engaging in crossentity solutions and tackling complex problems spanning the Telstra Group. Design innovative solutions and architectures.
  • Play a pivotal role in the companywide adoption of an architecture practice, providing support to the Chief Architect in establishing and reinforcing architectural principles and standards.
  • Collaborate with delivery teams to enforce consistency with enterprise architecture. Leverage shared technologies, tools, and processes to enhance speed to value and time to market.
  • Authentically engage with and influence key technology partners and business stakeholders. Develop architecture and engineering guidelines with vendors, aligning them with the company's development and operational requirements.
  • Provide guidance and make strategic decisions, leveraging your technical knowledge and analytical thinking. Address complex and ambiguous issues, removing blockers for your team and contributing to continuous improvement.
About you

Credentials and Experience

  • Master's or bachelor's degree in business, computer science, computer engineering, electrical engineering, system analysis, or a related field of study, or equivalent experience.

Skills:


  • Indepth knowledge of business ecosystems, SaaS, IaaS, PaaS, SOA, APIs, open data, microservices, eventdriven IT, and predictive analytics.
  • Extensive experience in Network Strategy development, covering Vendor and Technology selection, multilayer network traffic modeling, commercial modeling, and ongoing Planning, Design, and Deployment Processes.
  • Comprehensive understanding of business, operating, and financial models, along with costbenefit analysis, budgeting, and risk management.
  • Proficiency in enterprise architecture tools, graphical models, frameworks, and insight into information management practices, system development life cycle, IT services management, agile, lean methodologies, infrastructure, and operations.
Competencies

  • Exceptional analytical, planning, and organizational skills, coupled with political acumen for navigating enterprise obstacles.
  • Balances longterm vision and shortterm goals, considering both individual decisions and organizational objectives.
  • Estimates financial impacts of EA alternatives and creatively applies multiple solutions to address business problems.
