    WHO WE ARE SEEKING

    We are searching for a seasoned Android Senior Software Engineer to join our Bengaluru, India team. The ideal candidate is an established software engineer with exceptional communication, teamwork, multitasking abilities, as well as a knack for innovation and challenging traditional thoughts.

    WHAT YOUR ROLE ENTAILS

    The Community Experience Platform is a global system that facilitates the organization of locally significant events that authentically engage Nike members, encouraging them to incorporate sports into their daily routine. As part of the team, you will contribute to the creation of secure, highly scalable, and innovative frontend applications using a continuous delivery model on the Nike cloud platform. This position will collaborate with leaders and architects to deliver robust, well-structured mobile app services that are easily maintainable and scalable for various Nike Omni-channel experiences, focusing on consumer experiences and retail technology.

    WHO YOU WILL COLLABORATE WITH

    You will collaborate with talented engineers to technically develop and introduce elegant and user-friendly app features across development teams. You'll partner with business stakeholders, QE teams, and other engineering teams dispersed geographically. Additionally, you'll work with application privacy and security teams to guarantee the application's proper architecture and upkeep.

    YOUR QUALIFICATIONS

    • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Business, or a related field
    • 6+ years of software development experience designing, developing, and testing complex mobile applications
    • Strong background in Android OS Mobile App development - Android SDK, Java, Kotlin, Git, New Relic
    • Experience working with Cocoapods, MVVM
    • Proficiency in connecting Android applications to back-end services using RESTful APIs
    • Experience in a Distributed/Cloud-based environment (e.g., AWS, GCE, Rackspace, Azure)
    • Experience in full DevOps model managing the entire tech stack
    • Prior experience in designing and implementing
    • Knowledge of CI/CD across multiple platforms
    • Experience with mock servers (SoapUI, Charles)
    • Understanding of dependency injection, jetpack components, and code versioning
    • Familiarity with various design patterns
    • Comprehensive understanding of mobile app aspects such as multi-threading, memory management, networking, caching, performance optimization, among others
    • Experience with modern build strategies, continuous integration, unit testing, test-driven development, and automated integration tests
    • Exposure to cloud message APIs and push notifications
    • Demonstrated ability to mentor and train junior engineers
    • Familiarity with Scrum and agile principles
    • Self-starter who thrives in a fast-paced, results-driven environment
    • Excellent verbal and written communication skills to engage effectively with both technical and business teams
