Your Role and Responsibilities

SDDC Support (VM Ware, VSAN,NSX)are the gatekeepers to the many systems that run our company and our clients.

As a SDDC Support (VM Ware, VSAN,NSX) with IBM, you will have the opportunity to provide high-value IT services and leverage our leading-edge technology portfolio in our global network.

Your work has a direct impact on the day-to-day productivity of our business by ensuring integrity of, and access to, our most important resource data.

You will need to visit the domestic client's offices / data centres on a daily basis or on an as-needed basis as part of this role.


Responsibilities:


  • Provide VMware support including incident and work requests within the virtualization infrastructure spanning multiple data centers, across multiple VMWare.
  • Configure and optimize the virtual infrastructure.
  • Working with change tools to maintain client SLAs.
  • Monitor virtualization infrastructure and provide advice on capacity requirements.
  • Provide security compliance under relevant security policies.
  • Liase on virtualization configuration with the storage systems manager and system administrators. environments.
  • Proactively managing the environment to prevent incidents from occurring.
  • Proactively identify inefficiencies in operations with the objective of improving the quality of the working environment Requirements:
  • Experience and demonstrated skills in systems administration which includes 24x7 operations, Virtualization environments (VMware) across multiple VMWare ESX environments, and Multiple data centers
  • Ready to work on 24/7 shifts to support client requirement.
Required Technical and Professional Expertise

  • Min 58 years of experience with Vmware Support.
- knowledge in Windows Server 2003, 2003R2, 2008, 2008R2, 2012 and 2012R
  • VCenterWindows, ServerVMware Esx, ServerVMware Server
- knowledge in DNS, DHCP and file services, SDDC Support (VM Ware, VSAN), NSX

  • Manage & Maintain Microsoft Hyper-V infrastructure.
  • Manage & Maintain VMware infrastructure.
  • Responsible for troubleshooting OS & server hardware related issues by coordinating with Datacenter engineers.
  • Identify issues is Windows environment proactively.
  • Troubleshooting and breakfix of issues in Windows
  • Health check of Windows environment
  • Responsible for managing McAfee ePO server & managing latest DAT versions on all client systems.
  • Responsible for building & hardening windows servers.
  • Analyze server logs & provide root cause analysis during Major incidents.
  • Manage & maintain permissions on File serversPreferred Skills:
