    Associate Director- Cloud Warehouse

    Experience - 12 years +


    Job Summary:


    The Cloud Warehouse Lead is responsible for overseeing the design, implementation, and management of cloud-based data warehousing solutions for our customers.

    They will lead a team of engineers in developing scalable, efficient, and secure data warehouses to support the customer's data analytics and business intelligence needs.


    Responsibilities:

    • Lead the design and architecture of cloud-based data warehousing solutions, ensuring scalability, reliability, and performance.
    • Collaborate with stakeholders to gather requirements and translate them into technical specifications for the data warehouse.
    • Manage a team of engineers, providing guidance, mentorship, and technical leadership.
    • Implement best practices for data modeling, ETL (Extract, Transform, Load) processes, and data governance within the data warehouse.
    • Oversee the development and maintenance of data pipelines to ingest, transform, and load data from various sources into the warehouse.
    • Ensure data quality and integrity within the warehouse through data validation, cleansing, and error handling processes.
    • Monitor and optimize the performance of the data warehouse, identifying and resolving bottlenecks and inefficiencies.
    • Implement and maintain security measures to protect sensitive data stored in the warehouse, including access controls and encryption.
    • Stay updated on emerging trends and technologies in cloud data warehousing, recommending and implementing improvements as necessary.
    • Monitor project progress, track milestones, and manage resources to ensure timely delivery of solutions within budget and scope.

    Requirements:

    • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field; Master's degree preferred.
    • Proven experience (7+ years) designing, implementing, and managing cloud-based data warehousing solutions, preferably using platforms such as AWS Redshift, Microsoft Fabric, Google BigQuery, or Snowflake.
    • Strong understanding of data modeling principles and experience with data modeling tools.
    • Proficiency in SQL and experience with ETL tools and processes.
    • Experience managing a team of engineers, including hiring, coaching, and performance management.
    • Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills, with the ability to troubleshoot and resolve complex technical issues.
    • Strong communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to effectively interact with technical and non-technical stakeholders.
    • Relevant certifications such as AWS Certified Solutions Architect or Google Professional Cloud Architect or Microsoft Cloud Architect are a plus.
