    Description

    Responsibilities:

    • Design, develop, test, and implement software applications using Informix 4GL on Unix/Linux platforms.
    • Analyze business requirements and translate them into technical specifications for Informix 4GL development.
    • Maintain and enhance existing code base, ensuring code quality, efficiency, and adherence to coding standards.
    • Troubleshoot and resolve software issues related to Informix 4GL applications.
    • Perform unit testing and participate in integration testing to ensure overall application functionality.
    • Document technical specifications, code, and processes.
    • May provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior developers.
    • Stay uptodate on the latest trends and advancements in Informix 4GL HAVE SKILLS:
    • Informix 4GL,( Informix4GL is a 4GL programming language developed by Informix).
    • SQL.
    • Unix/Linux.
    • SDLC.
    • Four Js Genero (Genero Enterprise comprises Studio a Low-Code Development Platform ( LCDP) ).
    • Version control (SVN, Git).
    • Agile (DevOps).
    • Minimum of 5+ years of experience in software development using Informix 4GL (some positions may ask for more)
    • Strong understanding of Informix 4GL syntax, data structures, and control flow mechanisms
    • Proficient in working with Unix/Linux operating systems
    • Experience with database management systems (like IBM DB2) that often integrate with Informix 4GL applications
    • Excellent analytical and problemsolving skills
    • Strong communication and collaboration skills
    • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
