    Description

    Role Overview :

    • The ideal candidate will be part of the application development team for a major Insurance client. He/ She will work with different stakeholders to identify application development opportunities and perform cost benefit analysis for the same.
    • The role will encompass design, build and configuration of applications to meet business process and application requirements.
    • The ideal candidate will be required to participate actively in brainstorming sessions to identify opportunities at process improvement, effective communication with stakeholders and efficient implementation of solutions.
    • Should ideally have 58 years of experience in a similar role and should display a Get it Done work ethic and an attitude of embracing ambiguity.
    • Experience in life insurance preferred but not mandatory.

    Key Responsibilities & Skillsets :

    • Common Skillsets :
    • Robust problem-solving skills; experience in decision analytics.
    • Should be able to work independently on a problem and be able to meet client requirements with minimal or no supervision.
    • Good communication skills for client engagement
    • Exhibit a high degree of curiosity
    • Application development Skillsets :

    Mandatory :

    • Experience in designing, implementation, and testing of Python applications with good understanding of objectoriented programming, multitier architecture, parallel/ multithreaded programming.
    • 58 years of experience as Python Full Stack developer.
    • Must have hands on coding experience using Object Oriented methodology.
    • Must have knowledge of NumPy, pandas and other common data libraries.
    • Must have knowledge of design patterns and their implementation.
    • Must be proficient in designing scalable architecture for systems, preferably from scratch.
    • Should have experience in a DevOps environment.
    • Knowledge of Agile/Waterfall methodology for application development and testing life cycle.

    Preferred :

    • AWS Cloud experience preferred but not necessary.
    • Preferably have experience in financial model building.
    • Experience of tensor libraries like PyTorch, TensorFlow and other python APIs preferred.

    Data Management Skillsets :

    • Ability to understand data in line with business use cases and requirements to identify patterns, data quality gaps, data lineage, etc.
    • Strong ability to translate functional specifications / requirements to technical requirements.

    Candidate Profile :

    • Bachelor's/Master's degree in economics, mathematics, computer science/engineering or related analytics areas; candidates with BA/BS degrees in the same fields from the top tier academic institutions are also welcome to apply
    • 58 years' experience in application development and automation, preferably in Life Insurance but not mandatory

    • Able to work in a fast paced continuously evolving environment, ability to cherish and undertake challenges.
    • Comfortably adapts to cross cultural differences and work with global clients.
