    About us:
    Indian Institute of Technology Bombay - Development and Relations Foundation (DRF) is a not-for-profit section 8 unit.

    IITB DRF facilitates Institute's core mission and engages with our vibrant alumni community, corporations, and foundations with the goal of developing and sustaining long-term relationships.

    These groups are the key stakeholders in IIT Bombay's journey of excellence. We encourage the involvement and participation of these entities in the Institute's strategic initiatives.

    These include setting up world class research and academics in emerging areas of science and technology, building world class infrastructure, improving faculty value proposition, strengthening the entrepreneurship ecosystem, and contributing to the society.

    IITB DRF assists fundraising endeavours by way of donor solicitations, managing donor programs, maintaining financial accounts and reporting details of all activities implemented with alumni donations


    Purpose:


    Play a vital role in the planning and execution of various events aimed at engaging donors and stakeholders, promoting the institute's mission, and enhancing its visibility.

    This role offers an exciting opportunity to contribute to the success of our events while gaining valuable experience in event management.


    Key Responsibilities:

    • Event Planning and Coordination: Assist in the planning and coordination of events, including donor appreciation dinners, conferences, and other engagement initiatives.
    • Logistics Management: Coordinate logistics for events, such as venue selection, catering arrangements, audiovisual setups, and transportation logistics, ensuring smooth execution on the day of the event.
    • Vendor Management: Liaise with vendors and suppliers to procure necessary materials and services for events, negotiate contracts, and ensure compliance with budgetary constraints.
    • Attendee Management: Manage guest lists, RSVPs, and registrations for events, providing timely communication and support to attendees regarding event details and logistics.

    Site Event Support:

    Provide on-site support during events, overseeing setup and breakdown, managing volunteers and staff, and addressing any issues or concerns that may arise.


    • Budget Management: Assist in the development and management of event budgets, tracking expenses, and ensuring adherence to financial guidelines and targets.
    • Post-

    Event Evaluation:

    Conduct post-event evaluations to assess the success of events, gather feedback from attendees, and identify areas for Bachelor's degree in event management, hospitality, marketing, or a related field.


    • 23 years of experience in event planning and coordination, preferably in the nonprofit or social sector.
    • Strong organizational and multitasking abilities, with meticulous attention to detail.
    • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with diverse stakeholders.
    • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and event management software.
    • Ability to thrive in a fastpaced environment and adapt to changing priorities.
    • A passion for social impact and a commitment to the mission and values of the organization.
