The role of a IT Product Owner is to define and manage the product backlog, thus speeding the Agile adoption initiative in the Global Statistics space and more importantly transform into a product mindset, as we cater to the stats world.

The IT Product owner will help in maximizing product value that includes both technical and non-technical aspects.

Working closely with the different stakeholders, the IT Product Owner will scope and create roadmaps and collaborate with the tech lead and the architect to deliver on-time high quality solutions to meet the business goals.

A strong background and breadth of IT experience across the lifecycle of product and/or project development is needed to execute the responsibilities of this role.

The Global Statistics area requires strong collaboration with business stakeholders and the IT Product Owner will be required to establish a healthy working relationship while executing the IT deliverables along with the wider Global Statistics team.

Key Objectives/Deliverables
Perform end to end Product Backlog management.

Collaborating & planning with team to realize Backlog (Ensuring maximum business value)
Responsible for finalising product increments & organising product releases.

Coordinating with IT and business stakeholders for creating the product vision and roadmap.
Accountable for formulating Product's strategy in collaboration with IT stakeholders. Inspecting and evaluating product progress through each iteration to ensure its alignment to roadmap.

8+ years of experience in product planning and support on large highly complex projects.

Proven experience in leading Agile transformation from a conventional delivery setup.
Prior experience in product delivery - from ideation till implementation. Ability to simultaneously work in multiple work-streams involving complex designs to meet business requirements.
Strong business and stakeholder management skills. Strong knowledge of JIRA, Confluence, ALM etc.

Additional Desired Skills Understanding and knowledge of system development life cycle methodologies (such as waterfall, agile software development, rapid prototyping, and DevOps)
Excellent analytical, planning, organizational and technical and skills.

Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Ability to work with technical team members in-house an in-and-out outsourced environment. Skilled at influencing, guiding, and facilitating stakeholders and peers with decision making.
Ability to articulate new ideas and concepts to technical and nontechnical audiences.

Ability to understand the long-term ("big picture") and short-term perspectives of situations Basic Qualifications
:Bachelor's Degree (or equivalent work experience) Strong teamwork, self-management, problem-solving abilities.
