The Role:
Data Steward

The Team:

The Private Ownership Data Management team delivers research, content, and analytics about private capital markets, including private equity and venture capital firms, their investments, and funds.

Our data is used to support deal sourcing, fundraising, data exploration and valuation analysis by investment bankers and private equity professionals.

We are providing expertise in private equity data, assisting with client requests, and helping Product and Commercial teams with their engagements with current and prospective customers.

Key part of our role is to support development of the new solutions for private capital markets across various data delivery channels (feeds, platforms, etc.), covering both self-sourced data and the data we received from third parties/ vendors.

The Impact:

As a Data Steward you will handle all aspects of data management process with a focus on the UAT process.

The role requires excellent data analytics, critical thinking, and communication skills; as well as familiarity with technologies such as robotics/ automation and AI.

Success in this role will also require attention to detail, as well as a pro-active attitude and a natural interest to learn about private capital markets and data architecture.

Responsibilities:

Conduct data analysis and data comparison through Excel and SQL tools
Perform User Acceptance Testing tasks, quality test data using internal tools and data sources, resolve data defects
Support senior members of the team for varied data research and analysis processes
Optimize workflows by leveraging essential tech capabilities, including Lean and Automation

Build your knowledge and expertise in the private capital markets focusing on private equity, private debt, natural resources, infrastructure and real estate data.

What We're Looking For:

Qualifications:

Data management experience with technical skills required (e.g., data querying, data analysis)
Intermediate - advanced SQL and MS Excel skills
Financial and private market data knowledge, familiarity with private equity dataset is a plus
High-level understanding of data relationships, especially CompanyRel universe
Proven track record of execution, particularly in content-related domain
Excellent time management skills, ability to meet strict deadlines
Strong communication skills
Comfortable working in a dynamic, fast-paced environment
Agile (scrum) experience is a plus
Willing to work evening shifts and flexible hours
