Ratna Nidhi Charitable Trust, a leading NGO working in the health, education, and disability sector, needs a bright RCI-approved Orthotist & Prosthetist who is willing to work in a challenging environment.

Roles and Responsibility

Required Qualities
**Travel

• Onsite involvement in patient screening, measurement, and prosthetic distribution camps across India.**
  COMMUNICATION:
  Towards patients:

1) Examine and interview patients for medical history and clinical assessment, measure patients' lower limbs and maintain patients' records, confer with physicians to formulate specifications and prescriptions for patient-specific prosthetic devices, design of prosthetic devices, based on physicians' prescriptions, and patients' records

2) Fit, test, and evaluate devices on patients, and make adjustments for proper fit, function, and comfort

3) Repair, rebuild, and modify prosthetic and orthopedic appliances

4) Instruct patients in the use and care of orthoses and prostheses and provide medical attention, emotional support, or other personal care to the patients.

5) Telephonic communication with patient leads for inquiry of prosthetic aid

Towards NGO managers:


Reporting and coordinating daily activities of prosthetic aid distribution.

Educational qualifications:


1. Bachelor's degree in Prosthetics and Orthotics from a renowned institution

Experience

Min. 1-year experience required

Nature of Employment Full time contractual based

Reporting Location Mumbai along with travel to different locations for short term mobility camps as per necessity

Salary based on attitude and experience and work ethics



We organize mobility camps nationwide providing Free Jaipur Foot, Calipers and other mobility aids to disabled people irrespective of caste or religion.

The Trust has reached out to more than 2.50 lakh patients in past 20 years.

Ratna Nidhi has a fully equipped Jaipur Foot and Caliper fitment center at Mahalaxmi, Mumbai which is manned by trained technicians and equipped with all the machinery required to fabricate Jaipur Foot or Calipers within a matter of hours.

- We also serve free food to 2500 school children across 17 low income schools in Mumbai, which is prepared at our kitchen in Khetwadi, Mumbai.

- We have started the Mission Million Books Project in association with World Bank-USA, which aims to distribute 1 million educational books to more than 10,000 schools and colleges in India. Over 9 lakh books have been donated to over 4000 schools and colleges in India in the past 5 years.

- We have launched Vision 1 Million with Essilor Vision Foundation which manufactures and donate free of cost high-quality prescription eyeglasses to school children and adults in Maharashtra

- We have a Mou with Govt of Maharashtra to work in all districts with their help to make an impact in prosthetics, library creation & vision for zp students

- We have started MISSION MILLION KHICHDI programme in covide and have distributed million meals in covid in slums of mumbai and now it is continuing full time
