Role & Responsibilities

Financial Reporting: Prepare and analyze financial reports specific to the debt segment, ensuring accuracy and compliance with regulatory requirements.

Accounting Operations: Oversee accounting processes related to debt instruments, including journal entries, reconciliations, and month-end/year-end closings.

Budgeting and Forecasting: Assist in the development of budgets and forecasts for the debt segment, providing insights and analysis to support strategic decision-making.

Audit Compliance: Ensure adherence to audit standards and facilitate the smooth conduct of audits related to debt instruments and operations.

Regulatory Compliance: Stay updated with regulatory changes impacting the debt segment, ensuring financial operations comply with relevant standards.

Financial Analysis: Conduct in-depth analysis of debt-related financial data, offering insights into market trends, risks, and opportunities.

Collaboration: Work closely with other departments such as operations, compliance, and trading desks to streamline financial processes and resolve issues.

Process Improvement: Identify areas for process enhancement and implement best practices to improve efficiency and accuracy within finance/accounts in the debt segment.
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field; CA or relevant certifications preferred.
- 2 years of experience in finance or accounting roles within the stock broking industry, with a focus on debt instruments.
- Thorough understanding of accounting principles, financial regulations, and reporting standards applicable to debt markets.
- Proficiency in financial software and tools for analysis and reporting.
- Strong analytical skills with attention to detail and accuracy.
- Excellent communication skills to liaise with internal teams, auditors, and external stakeholders.
- Ability to manage multiple tasks, prioritize effectively, and meet deadlines in a dynamic environment.
- Experience with financial software/systems specific to debt instruments.
- Familiarity with risk management practices within finance/accounts for debt operations.
- Prior experience in a brokerage or financial institution specializing in debt markets.
