S&P Global Market Intelligence Pricing Data provides robust coverage across bonds, CDS and loans pricing, as well as equity volatility data and securities lending data for stocks and bonds.

Started in 2007, S&P Global Market Intelligence Parsing combines adaptive, real-time message parsing technology with our pricing data and industry knowledge to offer a dynamic service that extracts and stores OTC pricing content from messages.

The combination of hosted technology and a dedicated data quality team ensures that customers consistently receive timely and accurate parsed data in a wide range of formats and delivery methods.

This allows customers to integrate observable prices into trading, valuation, and audit processes.

The Parsing team is responsible for monitoring the quality of quotes parsed for 25+ OTC instruments, including CDS, indices, bonds, loans, converts, ABS etc.

Position summary
Data analyst role within the Pricing Operations

  • Parsing team. S&P Global Market Intelligence Parsing offers a dynamic, secure, realtime service that quickly and accurately extracts OTC pricing content from messages.
Duties & accountabilities
Operational maintenance of Parsed quotes for different asset classes.
Delivery of set targets with desired quality parameters.
Identify data quality improvement projects.
Identification of opportunities to enhance operational efficiency.
Client (internal and external) support for data.
Assist in data analysis and compiling regular metrics of operational activity including data quality statistics.
User acceptance testing for new or enhanced product functionality.

Ensure process documentation is kept updated and accounts for any changes to existing process and is extended to cover new processes.

Improve operational efficiency through proposing process enhancements - and then implementing as agreed with the management team.
Must have general interest in financial markets, Bonds & other asset classes and be keen to expand knowledge.
Business competencies
Education and experience
Degree level (preferably in finance and/or business)
0-2 years' experience in similar industry.
Commercial awareness
Ideally an understanding of financial alternatively demonstrates a strong interest in the mechanics of financial markets.
Understanding of the Bond Markets is preferable but not essential.

Management requirements
Excellent Communication Skills
Strong Microsoft Excel
Working knowledge of SQL is an added advantage

London hours shift - (12:00 PM IST to 9:00 PM IST) or (2:00 PM IST to 11:00 PM IST)
