Principal responsibilities

  • Wealth and Personal Banking is our global business combining Retail Banking and Wealth Management; and Global Private Banking, to become one of the world's largest global wealth managers with USD1.4 trillion in assets. Across Asia, where wealth pools are growing faster than in any other region.   • The Chief Administration Office (CAO) provides the WPB Chief Operating Officer (COO) & Digital Transformation (DT) team with dedicated, forward thinking, strategic as well as adhoc operational management support. This includes interacting with senior executive leadership teams across HSBC, regulators, and other external bodies on the COO & DT leads' behalf. This includes and is not limited to providing operational management support (communications, continuous improvement, strategy execution, financial management, governance, organisational design and people management / engagement and communications amongst other administrative items).

The Opportunity:


  • Wealth and Personal Banking Business Process Architect is a key role based within the Business Architecture team managed by WPB Transformation
  • The primary purpose of this role is to support the Wealth and Personal Banking Business in the development, creation and maintenance of the Wealth and Personal Banking Business Architecture repository (Casewise/ARIS) and the artefacts (including process maps) contained within that repository. This will be achieved by the following activities;
  • Ongoing maintenance of key architectural artefacts held within Casewise/ARIS, working with business stakeholders
  • Support the development of Process Modelling capabilities across Wealth and Personal Banking
  • Ensure standards are maintained, and aligned to both Group & WPB standards and the Business Architecture Framework
  • Ensure governance of current and future state architecture to align with Business and Technology strategy
  • Identifying opportunities for process improvement and efficiencies across WPB through the analysis of data held within Process Modelling tooling
  • The Business architecture function will also be required to support Group initiatives and contribute to the development of Group standards, identifying and implementing new practices, processes and technologies where required.
  • The job holder will also be expected to mentor/ advise business users across WPB and Treasury promoting an understanding of the value of business architecture, and of the relationship of processes, technologies and standards across multiple services and regions.

What you'll do:


  • We are currently seeking an ambitious individual to join our Business Architecture team as a Business Process Architect.

In this role, you will:

Support on process modelling

  • Support the business with process modelling capability in line with business objectives and regulatory requirements.
  • Assure quality of data and diagrams hosted in any repository meet the HSBC group standards, and the requirements of relevant internal instructions (FIMs, GSMs, circulars) and external regulatory requirements
  • Ensure alignment with HSBC group, WPB & Business line architectural frameworks
  • Provide a conduit to ARIS/Process Modelling tooling technical maintenance and administrative support

Business Architecture and Process Intelligence

  • Collaborate with Business and Technology leadership to define future state architecture to ensure alignment with strategy
  • Liaise with business and technology stakeholders across markets to document current state architecture information
  • Identifying opportunities to enhance process and operational efficiencies through analysis of Business Architecture and Process Mapping data
  • Support the business with datadriven insights on opportunities to explore business synergies and scalable growth across markets
  • Feed opportunities to strategic programs & initiatives
