About Ashoka Centre for a People-Centric Energy Transition
ACPET is being developed as a world-class knowledge institution in support of economic growth, energy security and
net zero ambitions of India and the developing South.
Its key objectives are to:
- Delineate, and identify the interlinkages between, various levers of change to inform the enabling environment for
- Identifying the barriers to, and unintended consequences of, energy and related transition actions and suggest
approaches
- Design future energy scenarios that will help inform public debate and policy choices
- Act as a bridge from action research to policy formulation
Areas of Expertise:
The newly-established Ashoka Center for a People-centric Energy Transition is seeking to hire between - 5 research
this Center. In addition to a resume, applicants are encouraged to submit a one-page document on how they think they could
contribute to the mission of the Center and the value their expertise would bring to the problem being addressed. Only short
Indicative areas of expertise include:
- Modeling and quantitative analysis
- Survey Methods, data science, machine learning, AI
- Green Finance
- Applied Economics
- Sociology / Social work
- Institutions / Governance / Political economy
- Engineering / Technology Assessments
- Environment / Climate science and policy
- Equity and Justice issues
Education Qualification:
Master and/or PhD in related fields***
