    Job Role:

    The purpose of the Global Product Security group is the enhancement of Carrier products and services, and assurance of cyber competitive advantage by driving:

  • Brand reputation and advancement within the product cyber domain.
  • Secure development, continuous improvement, and security maturity of products and services.
  • Assurance of secure operations, response, support, and channel engagement for all offerings.
  • Product innovation and differentiation leveraging cybersecurity capabilities and expertise.

    JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Supports all phases of the secure engineering, support, and development lifecycles in collaboration with multifunctional leaders, stakeholders, contributors, and businesses.
  • Drives secure development principles, practices, and activities within engineering and production to help quantify cybersecurity risk, issues, and defects within Carrier offerings, such that teams may appropriately characterize, manage, and remediate to standard.
  • Coordinates with engineering to help scope projects, define cybersecurity requirements, perform gap analysis, refine functional requirements, and road map residual cyber risk.
  • Lead or participate in software platforming activities.
  • Provides subject matter expert guidance on cybersecurity and product development topics.
  • Supports Product Security activities such as threat modeling, security assurance testing, cyber risk assessment, security reviews, and threat vulnerability assessment for all offerings.
  • Provides technical leadership, mentorship, and training.
  • Leads business units and projects through security certification and accreditation.
  • Provides timely and expert support to resolve difficult problems and issues.
  • Provides cybersecurity thought leadership, advisement, mentorship, training, and engagement.
  • Provides audit, analysis, and review support for certification, standards, governance, process, infrastructure, deployment, and all collaborative mission areas, Carrier brands, and businesses.
  • Supports ad-hoc initiatives within the cybersecurity-engineering domain, as needed.
  • Provides critical support as required for all major Product Security missions, including Secure Development, Operations, Commercialization, and Innovation
  • Positions Carrier in a world-class position within the Product Security domain

    • Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in computer science, Software Engineering, or related field
  • 3+ years' work experience in HW/FW & IOT security
  • 3+ year's work experience in Web/Mobile and Cloud application security

    • Preferred Qualifications:

  • Master's degree or PhD in computer science, software engineering, or equivalent
  • Exceptional cross-functional and multi-domain technical aptitude
  • Excellent communication, mentorship, change management, and leadership skills.
  • Exceptional interpersonal skills with the ability to effectively support diverse groups, help negotiate priorities, and resolve conflicts among projects stakeholders.
  • Project leadership, research, and/or publication experience
  • Demonstrated exp and a solid track record for working with cross-functional, engineering, business, and executive leadership, handling complex challenges, delivering results.
  • Software development experience with a focus on developing secure systems or controls.
  • System design and architecture experience – NPD and/or maintenance
  • Cloud system design and architecture experience
  • Experience in training engineering teams in cloud controls
  • Diverse technical domain experience (ex., Embedded, Enterprise, Mobile, Cloud, etc.)
  • Excellent cybersecurity depth and breadth knowledge and SW engineering skills
  • Subject matter expertise of secure SW development lifecycle, practices, and activities
  • Subject matter expertise in continuous integration and continuous deployment infrastructures
  • Strong exp with secure-by-design principles and architecture-level security concepts
  • Experience and understanding of Agile software development practices.
  • Experience in security certifications or accreditations such as SOC2, ISO 27001, FedRAMP, etc.
  • Experience in the building technologies domain, especially HVAC, Refrigeration, Fire, Physical Security, Video Surveillance and/or related services
  • Certifications demonstrating deep practical knowledge such as CSSLP, CISSP, CCSP, CCSK, AWS Solutions Architect Professional, et. al
