About Smile Foundation
Sustainability, social equality and the environment are now business problems. And corporate leaders can't depend on governments to solve them.
Inspired by this philosophy of Peter Senge, a group of young corporate professionals came together in 2002 to set up Smile Foundation to work with grassroots initiatives for effecting positive changes in the lives of underprivileged children, their families and communities.
Today, Smile Foundation is directly benefiting over 1.5 million children and families through more than 400 welfare projects on education, healthcare, livelihood, and women empowerment spread across 2,000 villages and urban slums in 25 states, every year.
Job Summary
You will work closely with a small communications team to develop content related to Smile Foundation's mission and vision. This will include stories and blog posts, photo essays, and infographics for the website and fundraising content.
- Strong research, writing, grammar, editing, and proofreading skills
- Proficient in research as a tool to promote nonprofit organisations
- Multimedia/web experience (photo, HTML, etc.) preferred
- Ability to write in a variety of styles and voices, including beneficiary stories and features
- Ability to work independently and handle multiple projects simultaneously
- Ability to succeed in a teamoriented atmosphere
Experience and Skills
The internship is a paid one with a stipend justifying the potential of the selected interns.
