Summary of This Role

Works throughout the software development life cycle and performs in a utility capacity to create, design, code, debug, maintain, test, implement and validate applications with a broad understanding of a variety of languages and architectures. Analyzes existing applications or formulate logic for new applications, procedures, flowcharting, coding and debugging programs. Maintains and utilizes application and programming documents in the development of code. Recommends changes in development, maintenance and system standards. Creates appropriate deliverables and develops application implementation plans throughout the life cycle in a flexible development environment.

What Part Will You Play?

Develops moderately complex code using both front and/or back end programming languages within multiple platforms as needed in collaboration with business and technology teams for internal and external client software solutions. Designs, creates, and delivers moderately complex program specifications for code development and support on multiple projects/issues with a wide understanding of the application / database to better align interactions and technologies.

Provides broad and in-depth knowledge of analysis, modification, and development of complex code/unit testing in order to develop concise application documentation. Performs and advises on testing, validation requirements, and corrective measures for complex code deficiencies and provides systemic proposals.

Participates in client facing meetings, joint venture discussions, vendor partnership teams to determine solution approaches.

Provides advise to leadership on the design, development and enforcement of business / infrastructure application standards to include associated controls, procedures and monitoring to ensure compliance and accuracy of data. Applies a full understanding and in-depth knowledge of procedures, methodology and application standards to include Payment Card Industry (PCI) security compliance.

Develops, administers and recommends billable hours and resource estimates on complex initiatives, projects, and issues.

Assists with on-the-job training and provides in-depth expertise and advice to software engineers.

What Are We Looking For in This Role?

Minimum Qualifications

Design and develop business UI applications developed in ASP.Net, JQuery and/or Angular

Design and develop business backend applications developed in C# as services, RESTFul APIs, or WCF APIs

Design and develop business application that run on Windows as services and applications

Full-Stack development for Web and PC based applications

Apply PCI, OWASP and security industry best practices towards application development.

Implement common design patterns

Lead and mentor other software developers of the team in the US, India and Philippines.

Work within an Agile project methodology and collaborate well with team members.

Work within aggressive project deadlines.

Take ownership of unit testing and the quality/security of code developed.

Provide technical subject matter expertise (SME), knowledge and recommendations to inform leadership decisions.

Function as the second level of support for Certification/Production environment issues by being able to troubleshoot and provide the necessary solution.

Participate in design and planning sessions.

Participate in SCRUM ceremonies

Escalate issues and project risks timely to the Product Owner or SCRUM master

Ensure enterprise security policy compliance.

Preferred Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or similar technical field required.

10+ years of professional software development

5+ years of C#, .NET, Windows Web-based application development experience

5+ HTML, CSS, ASP.NET, JQuery, Javascript, other UI frameworks and MS SQL

2+ years working within an Agile development environment

Strong understading of OOAD Principles like SOLID and Onion Architecture

Continuous integration technologies experienced with TeamCity is preferred.

Experience in Agile methodology and working in Sprints is a plus

Knowledge on Google cloud services is a plus

Socket programming

Multi-threaded Windows Applications

Source control management experience using Git, Github or Azure Git

Working with Fortify on demand or other static analysis tools (SAST) or SCA

Working with Dynamic analysis tools like burp(DAST)

Ability to learn and absorb new technologies as needed.

Ability to multitask effectively

Ability to influence others and work in a matrixed environment

Strong analytical and problem-solving skills

Highly detail oriented

Excellent communication skills in English, including both writing and speaking

Ability to plan a project for yourself and others so that all milestones are met or exceeded

Ability to implement specifications created by others

Ability to take ownership of large tasks and/or projects with little or no assistance from others

Git experience a plus

AgileCentral/Rally experience a plus

Angular and Java experience desirable

Experience developing an application for a high throughput & high performance.
