Responsibilities of the Production Incharge

Experience:
Minimum 5 Yrs. experience of running a production Line in a Garment Industry (Hosiery).

Have knowledge of:
A) Hosiery Fabric

B) All types of Stitching Machines.

C) Setting up Sewing line

Handling all types of production issues, section by section coordination, and especially focusing on the cutting, sewing and finishing section.
To coordinates with the quality manager so that defective or faulty goods are not produced.
Strictly monitoring the usage of raw materials against the output to minimise the wastage.
To get the sample approved before the production.
Preparing production plan on weekly, quarterly and monthly basis.
Managing Production Budget.
Should have I.T. skills.
Work closely with the production team from the development stage in order to foresee production bottlenecks and quality problems.
To ensure conformity with the buyer quality requirements and checks the level of garments being prepared for QCC 1 checks.
Capable of arranging materials at each stage of production.
Capable of arranging Stitching Vendors (For In-House Production) or a Stitching Line Man as and when required.
Proper documentation of all the activities on the floor periodically.
Monitoring the progress of production against the production plan.
Effective follow-up on materials inventory, production process, quality standards & team performance & Finlay making sure that product and procedures are on time and of good quality.
Taking care of the worker's safety and welfare and hygiene at the workshop
Responsible for ensuring discipline on the floor.
Understand the need and train the entire production team accordingly

COMMUNICATION SKILLS
Have to communicate with different people from various departments. It is essential to have excellent communication skills to instruct them correctly.

TECHNICAL SKILLS
Have sound technical expertise to perform many of your tasks.

LEADERSHIP
Have to supervise the work of the workers and also train them. Possess good leadership skills to lead a team and give them the right directions.

PROBLEM-SOLVING

Capable of solving any problem that may arise during the production stage.

TIME MANAGEMENT
Need to ensure that the manufactured apparels are packed and shipped within the deadline set by the company.

MULTITASKING
Ability to perform many tasks at the same time. Have to coordinate with the design team to ensure that the garments are of the right design and size.
