Overview:

The role of aTele counselor is vital to our organization as they are the firstpoint of contact for individuals seeking our services. Telecounselors play a crucial role in providing information support andguidance to clients through phone calls emails and other virtualplatforms. They are responsible for assessing client needsproviding counseling services or referrals and maintaining accuraterecords of all interactions.

KeyResponsibilities:

• Engage with clientsvia phone calls and other communicationchannels.
• Assess clients needs and provideappropriate counseling or referrals.
• Offersupport and guidance to clients experiencing emotional distress orseeking advice.
• Maintain detailed and accuraterecords of all client interactions andoutcomes.
• Adhere to confidentiality and dataprotection policies.
• Communicate effectivelywith internal teams to ensure seamless clientsupport.
• Stay updated on relevant resources andservices to provide accurate information toclients.
• Participate in training andprofessional development opportunities to enhance counselingskills.
• Provide crisis intervention whennecessary.
• Ensure compliance with ethical andlegal standards in counselingpractices.

RequiredQualifications:

• Bachelors degree inPsychology Counseling Social Work or relatedfield.
• Proven experience in counseling or arelated field.
• Strong communication and activelistening skills.
• Empathy and an understandingof diverse client needs.
• Ability to workeffectively in a fastpaced and dynamicenvironment.
• Excellent problemsolving skillswhen addressing client concerns.
• Knowledge ofcounseling techniques and ethicalguidelines.
• Ability to maintain confidentialityand handle sensitive information.
• Strong timemanagement and organizationalskills.
• Proficiency in using telecommunicationtechnologies and software fordocumentation.
• Certification or licensure incounseling or related field(preferred).
• Experience in crisis interventionand risk assessment (preferred).
• Ability towork flexible hours including evenings andweekends.
• Fluency in multiple languages(preferred).
