Responsibilities:

Collaborate with engineers, architects, and other professionals to understand project requirements and specifications.
Prepare detailed 2D drawings, blueprints, and plans based on project requirements.
Create and update technical drawings using CAD software, ensuring accuracy and adherence to drafting standards.
Incorporate necessary dimensions, materials, and other specifications into drawings.
Review and analyze design drawings to identify potential issues or improvements.
Revise and modify drawings as directed by project leads or clients.
Prepare and organize drawing files and documentation for easy reference and retrieval.
Assist in the coordination of drawing production schedules to meet project deadlines.
Maintain knowledge of industry standards and trends in drafting techniques and software.
Collaborate with team members to resolve technical issues and provide creative solutions.
Ensure compliance with company policies, procedures, and quality standards.

Requirements:

High school diploma or equivalent; associate degree or certification in drafting or related field is preferred.
Proven experience as a 2D Draftsman or similar role.
Proficiency in CAD software (AutoCAD, SolidWorks, or similar).
Strong understanding of drafting principles, techniques, and standards.
Excellent attention to detail and ability to maintain accuracy in drawings.
Ability to read and interpret technical documents, blueprints, and sketches.
Strong problemsolving and analytical skills.
Effective communication and collaboration skills.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Time management skills and ability to meet project deadlines.
Knowledge of construction or manufacturing processes is a plus.
