  • Vadodara MPS is manufacturing FHT and LPT equipment with capacity of ~300 k production hours SC Planning team is supporting production by providing monthly plan and milestone schedule. This scheduling is not sufficient, and we are not able to track the complete production process. Production team need support for activity level scheduling for equipment manufacturing. This will help them to measure real time progress and identify process bottlenecks. This job will be done by Production Schedulers one for FHT business and one for LPT business.
  • Your responsibilities and tasks:
  • Responsible for Production Scheduling and Control with an aim to meet delivery dates, optimum utilization of resources, minimize lead time & work-in-process inventory.
  • Preparation of detailed activity level schedules for production execution in line with project sequencing, resource requirements, available capacity, and space.
  • Monitoring the actual progress, resources deployment and update the schedule on daily basis.
  • Prepare weekly exception report with respect to schedule and circulate with all stakeholders to create visibility of planned vs actual progress.
  • Record all issues (like drawings, materials, manpower, space, quality, rejection & rework etc.) being faced during execution and highlight them to respective stakeholders for timely resolution.
  • Prepare pareto diagram for issues to drive corrective & preventive actions for different functions.
  • Experience and knowledge of planning software MS Project and SAP PP Module.
  • Coordination with cross functions for smooth execution.
  • Maintain trustworthy relationships with all stakeholders.

Your profile and qualifications:

  • Degree or Diploma in Mechanical/Fabrication/Production Engineering with 4 to 8 years of experience preferably in production planning & scheduling in fabrication industries.
  • Good understanding of business processes across all functions involved in manufacturing.
  • Knowledge of operational excellence tools like Lean manufacturing, Kaizen, 5S and Quality Management System ISO 9001:200
  • Strong personal leadership, good organizational, interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Should have ability to manage assigned projects / tasks independently.
