KITCHEN - _Heart-Of-House_
Even though kitchen employees may not come into direct contact with guests, their responsibilities are key to the Outlet success.

- Inside/Outside Expo
Basic functions in the heart-of-the-house include:
- Receiving and ordering product.
- Making prep recipes and menu products to spec.
- Properly labeling, dating, covering and refrigerating prepped items for the line.
- Performing opening, closing, and side duties setting up, stocking, and breaking down all kitchen equipment and prep, line, expo stations.
- Maintaining a clean and organised kitchen, line, expo, dish room, and back dock.
- Cleaning dishes and operating a dish machine.
- Practicing safety and sanitation standards.
- Having a sense of urgency.
- Stocking products.
- Recycling products.
- Properly reading items printed on order tickets or automated Kitchen Display System.
- Assembling orders double checking product quality and specs.
- Demonstrating impeccable product knowledge.
- Involved in handling all recook, special prep, long ticket, large party/voucher group procedures.
- Running food as needed.
- Communicating professionally with coworkers and frontofthehouse staff.
- Acting as a liaison between the heartofthehouse and frontofthehouse staff
Job requirements include:
- Must comply with the minimum legal age for employment based on the local regulations.
- Performing duties which require bending and reaching.
- Lifting and transporting up to 100pound containers, dish racks, and trash cans.
- Standing or moving for up to 8+ hours.
- Maintaining a wellgroomed appearance ("having a plan").
- Following all uniform guidelines.
- Practicing all general safety and sanitation standards.
- Recycling products, where possible.
- Remaining calm in a hectic, fastpaced atmosphere.
- Demonstrating a high level of organisation, attentiontodetail, and a senseofurgency.
- Displaying a positive and outwardly friendly attitude toward guests and coworkers.
- Maintaining our Brands 5 core Values and Mission Statement.
