    Job Description

  • Analyze trends and variances within the various lines of the income statements and balance sheets to ensure financial statements are well controlled, timely, and accurate.Collaborate closely with onshore counterparts to ensure accurate recording of journal entries for assigned activities.Support financial reporting for the Parent entity's Consolidated reporting, standalone US GAAP, and statutory financials.Contribute to setting the team's strategic direction and assist in overall operations management.Take ownership of processes, reports, procedures, or products, serving as a Subject Matter Expert with knowledge of cross-functional processes.Perform various calculations, allocations, and support the posting of entries related to payroll, accruals, fixed assets, leases, intercompany, and reinsurance.Support the global Intercompany reconciliation process and post required journals (Intercompany treaty and expenses).Liaise with underwriting and other functions as necessary.Prepare year-end audit files and respond to external audit requests.Review deliverables from other team members and support ad hoc requests.Manage day-to-day operations, administration, and communication with internal stakeholders and clients
  • Qualified Accountant, Insurance knowledge and Blackline Accounts reconciliation knowledge
  • Qualified Accountant having 8+ year of experience working in Controllership areaExperience of working with very senior stakeholdersStrong attention to detail, data integrity and accuracyStrong analytical, organizational and data gathering/documentation skillsProficiency in MS-excel & MS PowerPointExcellent quantitative and analytical skills with strong time management, organizational and problem solving skills and the ability to multi task and work in a deadline-driven environmentExcellent verbal, written and interpersonal communication skills with the ability to interact effectively at all levels across the organization
    Knowledge of Insurance and Blackline Accounts reconciliation, project management and transformation experience Understanding of US Insurance marketKnowledge of MS Office (Excel, Word, etc.)ERP's such as Sun, blackline, Oracle, PeopleSoft, ANAPALN etc.
    Proficiency in EnglishExcellent Communication / interpersonal skillsData gathering ability/ Eye for detailStrong people management and leadership skills.Capability to conduct an appraisal discussion and assess different levels of performance and potential.Capability to communicate with large teams.Process Excellence Methodology.Appreciation of the domain needs of the process and its key drivers.Reasonable level of business perspective regarding the internal functioning of BPO/EXL.Good networking capability and Client facing skills.
