Job Summary

  • As Architect at EXFO, your role will be to design the structure of our software systems and oversee the delivery of large, complex, and strategic projects to ensure the proper architecture is implemented. In this role, you should be an excellent communicator who is able to translate complex requirements into functional architecture.
    What you'll do
  • As a key member of the organization the Software Architect is actively involved in creation and design of our next generation cloud solutions and responsible for driving technological vision for the solutions.
  • Work with Product manager, TPO to understand business problems, generate technical architecture, and assist in setting solution scope while leading to a higher state of maturity.
  • Serve as an escalation point for project teams to assist with clearing roadblocks and driving projects to completion. Assist with solving technical problems when they arise.

Technical skills

  • Strong analytical and problemsolving skills, including a thorough understanding of how to interpret customer business needs and translate them into technical solutions.
  • You're curious about new technologies and you're excited to find ways to implement them in your work.
  • Excellent presentation skills for presenting both businessoriented solutions and advanced technical concepts.
  • Extensive knowledge of cloud software concept such as: microservice, container, serverless, CI / CD
  • Strong knowledge of multiple technologies like Java, Python, JavaScript frameworks (Node.
JS, Svelte, Angular, React, Vue).

  • Experience on AWS, GCP etc.
  • Knowledge of databases (like MySQL, PostgreSQL, MongoDB), web servers (e.g. Apache) and UI/UX design.
  • Exposure to Telecom domain preferred.

  • Great ability to document design and direction for teams.
  • Natural ability to share knowledge and good ideas.

Must have:


  • Pertinent Experience: Minimum 15 years of experience in Software Development. Minimum 57 years' experience as a Software Architect.
  • Education: Minimum Engineering degree in Computer Science or equivalent. Postgraduation in Computer Science or equivalent is preferred.
