    Description

    Job Description for Embedded Firmware Design Engineer :

    Three Positions

    Roles & Responsibilities :

    1. Understand product requirements; Design, develop, code and implement device drivers, algorithms, on-board / off-board communication modules in embedded C.

    2. Hands-on experience with developing device drivers such as Clock, Timers, ADC, Flash, EEPROM, SRAM, Counter, PWM, and Watchdog timers

    3. Firmware implementation and debug experience in acquiring digital and analog data, process the raw data for errors like offset, scale factor and linearity, implement filters, process and store

    4. Develop and implement communication algorithms for 1553B serial bus

    5. Implement, debug communication protocols over SPI, UART, I2C and SPORT

    6. At least two project experience, end to end, from requirements to design, implementation, debug, unit and integration testing with target hardware

    7. One project experience with Analog DSP is preferred.

    8. Hands-on experience with eclipse based software development platforms (IDE) and tools such as in circuit emulators, simulators, debuggers and profilers

    9. Experience with documentation: Requirement specifications, design, flow chart, test plan and test reports

    10. General :

    10.1. Controller Experience: Analog Devices DSPs (Preferred), Arm cortex M3/M4, general purpose 16 / 32 bit controllers

    10.2. FreeRTOS or OS less environment

    10.3. Related experience with hardware high level design, signals flow, ability to detect and isolate the issues to hardware and or firmware is a plus
