    Senior JavaDeveloper

    Selected candidate mustreside within two (2) hours of SSA Headquarters in Woodlawn MD.Selected candidate must be willing to work onsite at least 2 days aweek

    Key RequiredSkills:

    Strong knowledge of JavaSpring Framework (Spring Boot Spring Batch) REST API andSQL

    PositionDescription:

    Develop highlyinnovative products/solutions in Java achieved throughcollaboration and dialogue with other experts in the field. Thecandidate will continually assess advancements in technologies togauge and recommend better solutions for the customer to improvethe software developer experience and efficient delivery ofsoftware.

    Attend all customer technicaldiscussions/design/development meetings and provide technicalinputs to further enhance the code quality/process.

    Full stack development using Java Spring Framework(Spring Boot Spring Batch) REST API SQL.

    Provide guidance/support to other junior/midleveldevelopers.

    Impact functional strategy bydeveloping new solutions processes standards or operational plansthat position Leidos competitively in the marketplace.

    All other duties as assigned or directed.

    Skills Requirements:

    FOUNDATION FOR SUCCESS (BasicQualifications)

    Bachelors Degree inComputer Science Mathematics Engineering or a related field.

    Masters or Doctorate degree may substitute forrequired experience.

    10 years of modernsoftware development experience with a solid understanding ofdesigning building deploying and running applications.

    Combined experience building web applications with moderntechnologies (Java Spring Framework (Spring Boot Spring Batch) RESTAPIs SQL).

    Must be able to obtain andmaintain a Public Trust. Contract requirement.

    FACTORS TO HELP YOU SHINE (RequiredSkills)

    These skills willhelp you succeed in this position:

    Strong experience with Java Spring (IoC MVC Transactions Securityand Batch) and JEE Technologies (JSP Servlets EJB JDBC JNDI JPAJMS).

    Experience with Web Services technologies(SOAP REST XML AXIS JAXP JAXB JAXWS JERSEY JSON CXF) and Security(LTPA JWT OAUTH2) for Web Service development configuration andimplementation.

    Experience with withunderstanding of backend software architecture interactions andnode module capabilities.

    Experiencedeveloping RESTful Web Services using

    Working knowledge of relational databases (PostgreSQL DB2 andOracle) SQL and ORM technologies (JPA2 Hibernate and SpringJDBC)

    Comprehensive knowledge of Scrum and/orKanban Agile development process and ceremonies.

    Complex programming program debugging data analysisproblem analysis and resolution of issues in a heterogenousapplication architecture.

    Strong communicationand collaborative skills in providing technical direction andhandson software development to include design development andtesting.

    Experience working on Agile projects and understandingAgile terminology.

    Experience with Webtechnologies (e.g. JavaScript ES6/ES7 CSS tag libraries).

    Experience with application development and deployment ina Cloud environment (e.g. AWS).

    Experience withmodern development software tools and methodologies such as JenkinsGit/BitBucket Agility/Jira Nexus Maven Jenkins OpenShift XML/XSLTVisualVM/Eclipse Profiler (Java performance monitoring tool) AmazonWeb Services (S3) BDD (Cucumber or similar)

    Education:

    Bachelors Degree in Computer Science Mathematics Engineering or arelated field with 7 years of experience
