Your Role:

• Creating and developing a long-term plan and strategy for development of the category/brand
• Develop strong working relationships with buying, marketing and merchandising teams.
• End to end management of product i.e. from supplier to customer.
• P&L owner for the brands being managed
• Manage Portfolio : New product acquisition and pricing strategy, managing product portfolio and inventory management. Shape long term portfolio expansion built on macro trends.
• Brand management: Brand sourcing & management, Brand relationship management.
• Category Analytics: proficient in analytics to identify growth areas and execute

Job Requirements:

• 5+ years experience in category management, any industry
• Experience in crop protection and seeds companies will be given preference
• Has the ability to align teams on the initiatives
• Understanding of crop pattern and associated technicals and products for a given geographical area
• Is on top of market knowhow regarding operating prices of products and demand supply situation in key geographies
• Has a network with the think tank in Agritech community and knows key decision makers among the top brands
• Willing to relocate to Indore
• Sales/Marketing and Procurement Experience in the Agri-inputs domain
• Is curious and willing to learn and experiment
• Good communication, negotiation skills and takes calculated risks
• Good at stakeholder management & fostering relationships with companies
• Proficiency in English and good at presentations
